I choose you (pikachu?) to do this tag.

SKINCARE -
How many times do you wash your face daily?

Usually just once at the end of the night.  My face stays pretty clean from washing it at night until the morning.

What skin type do you have? (dry, oily, combo)

I have very dry and flaky skin.

What is your current facial wash?

It is a Clean and Clear hydrating one.  Im not sure on the name, but it is in a bright yellow bottle and smells like pineapple!

Do you exfoliate?

Yes, usually in the shower I will.

What brand do you use?

I loveee this one from Befine.  SO good!

What moisturizer do you use?

Clinique Dramatically Different Lotion.

Do you have freckles?

Nope.

Do you use eye cream?

I don’t, but I should!

Do you or did you have acne prone skin?

Nope.  A few pimples here and there but nothing major.

Did you ever have to use Pro-activ?

Nope.

MAKE-UP

What foundation do you use?
I normally just use my Mac MSF Natural as foundation but if I use a liquid, it’s Covergirl Aquasmoothers.

How about concealer?

I have a concealer palette from coastal scents that I like, Boiiing from Benefit or a stick concealer from ELF.

Do you know your undertone color?

I am more of a cool toned girl, but I lean towards neutral.

What do you think of fake eyelashes?

I don’t use them often, only on a special occasion.

Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?

I sure do, but do I follow this?  Not really.  I use it until it turns on me or smells differently from when I open it.

What brand of mascara do you use?

I have about 8 mascaras open right now (terrible, I know) but the ones I use the most are Flirt! Lengthening and Smokey Lash from MUFE (waterproof!)

Sephora or MAC?

I love MAC but I love the range at Sephora, so Sephora.

Do you have a MAC Pro-card?

No, bummer.

What makeup tools do you use in make up application?

Brushes, q-tips and some sponge applicators (sometimes)

Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?

Always!  I use Too Faced Shadow Insurance more than any other.

For the face?

I usually stick with my MUFE HD Primer, the original.

What is your favorite eyeshadow (color or shade)?

I find myself going for a smoky eye more often than not.  Usually standard colors, gray, black and white.  But I change it up so often with eyeshadow that I couldn’t say I have one favorite at the moment.

Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?

Pencil on the bottom waterline and either liquid or gel on the lop lash line.

How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?

Very rarely.

What do you think of pigment eyeshadows?

I like them, when I do use them but that’s not often.  Its just a hassle sometimes since I will usually only use them wet.  Its just easier to use a pressed eyeshadow for the most part.

Do you use mineral makeup?

Nope.

What is your favorite lipstick?

Currently it is, Up the Amp from MAC but my go to is usually Hue from MAC.

How about lipgloss?

I just recently started using a clear lip gloss/lip plumper from Hard Candy that I am in love with.

What is your favorite blush to use?

Benefit CORALista, MAC Peaches or MAC Bite of and Apple.

Do you buy your makeup on ebay?
I never have.

Do you like drugstore makeup?

I do.  I use a mix of “drugstore” and “high end”  I am equal opportunity makeup employer :)

Do you go to CCO's? (cosmetic company outlets)

I have been to one, once.  I bought a couple of things and I liked the idea of it!

Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?

I have always wanted to, just never got around to it.

Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?

Erm, sometimes.  But I’m usually alright.

Name a makeup crime that you hate?

Not blending (face or eyeshadow) and too much mascara!

Do you like colorful shades of makeup (lipstick, eyeshadow) or neutral ones?

I like a mix of both, depends on my mood.

Which celebrity always has great make up?

I love the simple, classic look of Leighton Meester.

If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item, what would you use?
Eyeliner, always.

Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?

I do all the time.  I don’t need makeup to feel good, I just love the way I look with makeup on.

Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?

I do, actually.

In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?

Oh man.  The company that I own the most from and use the most, would be Urban Decay.  I wouldn’t say over all they are “the best” but it is what I like the most.

What do you think of Makeup??

I love it! It’s fun – it’s expression and art in a way.

I tag EVERYONE to do this.  It was just something fun and got me thinking a little about my favorite products.

Giveaway winner.

My first giveaway is over, and I'm pleased with being able to announce that Ariel has won!
I did not receive a lot of entries for my giveaway, I think that had a lot to do with the fact that it was internationally restricted.  I will try to possibly have something soon that is open to my international followers, it's just sooo expensive!
I was happy with the fact that anyone entered at all and I look forward to doing my next giveaway.

Later today I will be posting my Kat Von D Poetica look, like promised from my last post/review.  I hope you ladies enjoy that and the rest of your day!

Kat Von D Palette-Poetica

Kat Von D Palettes are slowly becoming my favorites, this one being no exception.  I picked this up before Christmas and JUST NOW got around to swatching it and using it.  Today will be a swatch and tell.  I will show you swatches of the product and give a little review.  Then within the next few days I will be putting up a look I did with using just this palette for eye shadow.  On to the swatch festtttt.
This is the new metal palette type the have, it springs open fairly quickly and that can be somewhat of a hassle but its pretty sturdy.
Just a close up on the name here for ya.
All of the color names are listed on the back. (From T to B-Forgiveness, Sand Timer, Chandler, Tijuana, Wonderland, Shiba, Babe, You alone)
The beautifullll shadows
This makes it so they are in the same order as I listed them, from the back of the palette
All of them swatched on my arm.  This is upside down from the previous order they were in, sorry if thats confusing!  The left side is swatched dry, and the right side is with NYX Jumbo Pencil in Milk underneath.
(From L to R-Forgiveness, Sand Timer, Chandler and Tijuana)
Finger swatches in the same order as above
(From L to R-Wonderland, Shiba, Babe, and You Alone)
Finger swatches in the same order as above

Soooo about this product?  I love this palette.  Sand Timer is a little less pigmented than most of them, and You alone is very very sheer when blended out.  The rest of them are creamy and richly pigmented.  Babe is in a similar formulation as Stars and Rockets from MAC.  It has that Purple/blue/blurple/pinkish/duochromey goodness when over white or black.  Tijuana is probably my favorite shadow out of allll of them, love the golden, orange glitter in the pure black base.

This originally came with a Kat Von D mini eyeliner, in the black color.  I have since already used all of this up, long before my blog came along...so sorry for that!

I got this palette shortly before Christmas at Sephora for $38 dollars.  I do normally see them go on sale for $24ish after they have been out for awhile, so keep your eyes open!

As I said, I will be posting a look later this week using nothing but this palette for eye shadow.  So be on the look out for that!

Leave me a comment below and let me know what you think of this palette from my swatches, or if you own it!

February Favorites

I have seen so many people do monthly favorites and I love reading them.  So I decided it would be something fun for me to add onto my blog as well.  A lot of the things I am putting on here, I will eventually get around to reviewing, so I'm not going to go into too much detail.  I just wanted to share with you some favorite of mine.  This month I have a lot of makeup, one hair product, one jewelery piece and some music! This is going to be picture heavy, FYI!

Soo, lets start with makeup.  Since this ISSS a beauty blog :)

(MUFE HD Primer in the original formula, this is my all over face primer and I am IN LOVE with the moisturizing properties it gives off.  Since I have such dry skin, I need a primer like this.  As you can tell, it has been much loved since its down to the HD writing, sooo expensive though, $32 for 1.01 oz, sad face)
(Benefit Highbeam in a "travel" packaging.  I have had this for a long time, but I have been recently re-loving it.  It was $10 at Sephora and I love the wand instead of the original "nail polish brush looking thingymabob(technical terms))

(MAC Bite of an Apple blush, this was LE with the Venomous Villains collection Sept, '11.  I love love the color of this.  It looks intense but it is pretty sheer and easily build able.  This has been my go to color for most of the winter for that "just came outside from the cold and my face is red as shit" look)
(I haven't been too into eye shadow the whole month of February, but I am big into liner and colorful liner on top.  I have been using UD Perversion on my bottom water line, the NYC Liquid liner on my top lash line, with a UD colored liner (Pictured is El Dorado, mini) on top of the liquid liner.  It is simple but gives the pop of color I am missing with my lack of eyeshadow)
(MAC Idol Eyes, I'm not sure when this came out or if it is LE, I found it at a CCO close to me.  I cant remember how much I paid for it either, its been awhile since I bought it!  Anyways, I have been using this color as my inner corner highlight.  It does look purple in the pan, but it is sooooo sheer and sparkly.  There is just a slight, and I mean SLIGHT purple sheen to it, if applied heavily enough.  Does anyone know when this came out or if you can still get it in stores?)
(L'oreal Voluminous Carbon black.  Black, thick, full lashes...loving it!)
(Jack Black Mint lip balm, officially looks like it has gone through hell and back.  This was the first one I had ever bought, two Christmases ago for my now ex boyfriend.  I stole it from him shortly after I bought it for him, since I loved it so much.  I lost it for awhile (or he stole it back for awhile, not sure) and then when I finally got it again, I have been using it like crazy.  It is a nice thick lip balm that is nice for the winter weather. $7.50 at Sephora and Ulta)

(MAC Up the Amp, my poooooor Up the amp :(  I left this out in my car, in my makeup bag one day last fall on one of the warmer days, and the poor thing melted.  Luckily, it stayed pretty intact and I didn't lose any product, I just have to be careful applying it now! Love this color on myself, such a pretty purple!)

Nowww for my hair product.

(Lush R&B, amazing for my dry hair!  Review coming soon, so I will keep this short.  Its thick, smells amazing, and moisturizes my hair like no body's business!!!)

I have one nail polish this month, and if you guys read my previous NOTD's you should already know how in LOOOOVE I am with this nail polish.

(OPI, Fly from the Nicki Minaj collection.  If you want to see my review on this, go here)

I have a scent that I have been wearing for the last few weeks of the month...
(Coach Poppy, the original.  I have it in the bottle and the roller ball.  I had been lusting after this perfume for a long long long time, and my ex boyfriend bought me the roller ball two Christmas' ago.  I finally got the bottle last uh, August?  And I have been slowly using it, since it is a little pricey.  I love this scent though.)

My one jewelery piece this month.
(My simple dream necklace from Claire's, I think I paid $4.50 for this.  Its just simple and for that, I enjoy it)

That's everythinggg that I have pictures for.

This last month I have been OBSESSED with the newest season (7) of Weeds.  I love the show, and getting to see all the new shit the cast is going through, is so fun.

For music, I have re found my CD love for Bright Eyes by Paramore.  This has been on replay for the last couple of weeks.  At the beginning of the month though (and since January) I was addicted to Egypt Centrals first CD.  If you like Papa Roach, Three Days Grace, or Billy Talent...check out Egypt Central.  AMAZING lyrics and vocals, you wont be sorry!

WOW, that was a lot of stuff to love in one month.  I hope to keep these going by the end of the first week of each new month .  Let me know if you enjoyed reading this and seeing what I am loving.  So what are you guys loving this month?  Let me know in the comments or link me to your blog post about your favorites!!

Also, don't forget about my giveaway!  It is still open until the end of this week (Friday) So be sure to comment for a chance to win some sweet stuff, just for following my blog.  Go here to win some free shit, for doing nothing but typing.

Nail Polish Haul

Hey lovelies, I went shopping yesterday to get some new spring colors and I found some good deals.  You all know how much I love the Sally Hansen Xtreme line, so I picked up a few more of those.  I also got some Art Deco nail polishes from LA Colors.  This was all purchased at my local Dollar General..  The Sally Hansen ones were $2.50 a piece (no sale this time, wah wah) and all of the Art Deco polishes were only $1.00.
(All of the colors I bought)
(Sally Hansen Xtreme wear)
(#150 in Sun Kissed, this is a pale creamy orange yellow, leans a little peachy)
(#360 Mellow Yellow, a pale creamy yellow, bright for spring and summer)
(#240 Twisted Pink, looks like a cream at first, but when you look closely there is a slight golden shimmer)
(#280 Marine Scene, A shimmery teal blue)
(#200 Strobe Light.  A pink gel base with Silver and rainbow reflective glitter, good for a top coat)
(LA Colors, Art Deco Polishes)
(Intense pink)
(Silver Glitter)
(Teal Glitter)
(Black)

(This is the brush size on all of the Art Deco Polishes, they are perfect for nail designs and make sharp lines)

Wellllllll, that was a lot of pictures.  I look forward to doing nail looks and fun spring/summer nails with these polishes.  I am excited to use the Art Deco polishes to make nail art a little easier (since I seriously suck at it!)  What are some of your favorite nail polishes for spring/summer?  I will be doing a spring nail polish post soon since spring is fast approaching!

Also, if you haven't checked out my giveaway, please do!  It ends this Friday and I would love to see as many people as possible enter!  I have some fun and cute prizes, so make sure you take a look.  click here, baybay!
